Following the announcement by the Prime Minister on Monday night the Government published a list of retailers that are considered essential to keep Britain moving. That list includes Garage services. That means that MercServices are considered an essential business in supporting the public during this time.

Can MercServices keep you moving in a time of hardship? - You may be using your car less right now, but the journeys we do make are the really essential ones. They get the NHS teams to hospitals, volunteers to the pharmacy, and all of us to the supermarket. With Mercedes-Benz main dealer network “on hold” now it is going to be difficult to get the specialist knowledge that your Mercedes needs. Rest assured that MercServices has a significant array of technical specialist tools and knowledge. In addition we are one of the few garages outside of Mercedes-Benz who have an official factory diagnostic computer able to diagnose and programme modern cars.

How are we keeping customers and colleagues safe? - We are adopting a number of additional precautions to slow virus transmission and include:
  • Wearing latex barrier gloves
  • Wiping down all contact points in and on customers cars with alcohol wipes, before and after starting work.
  • Frequent wiping down of office and building surfaces.
  • Wiping down of card terminal after every use.
  • Social distancing from customers and suppliers.
  • We have a “key drop” facility, so if you do not want to come into the building you can drop the keys in our box. If you have a spare key you can also collect it “remotely”.

MOT Test - As you may know MOT tests have been allowed to “lapse” until August. Don’t forget however, the MOT whilst a legal requirement (normally) may also identify any safety or reliability issues. At the end of August , when the extension period lapses there will be a huge demand for MOT tests, that won’t be able to be satisfied.

MercServices Company History

MercServices started in 2006 in the workshops at Tooting where Prestige Cars had been serviced since the 1970’s and culminating with MercServices from 2006. In 2013 they moved to a larger, improved facility in Mitcham, where they are now based.

Owner David Stannard worked for over 15 years with a variety of prestige main dealers as an After Sales Manager and General Manager before starting MercServices in 2006.

MercServices was "born" after a small team of ex- Mercedes employees felt that there was a need for a quality alternative to the Main Dealer network that could offer the personal touch.

By offering a high degree of technical expertise combined with great value for money MercServices grew rapidly and we have seen over 15,000 vehicles pass through our workshop since opening!

Do you update DSB

Digital Service Book is a cloud based electronic service record maintained by Mercedes-Benz. We have direct access to these records, and we will update the record if a service is carried out.

Do you use Mercedes parts

We routinely use Mercedes-Benz dealer supplied parts or those from the original equipment supplier. Where cost is an issue we able to offer good quality parts that meet the manufacturer specifications at a lower price.

Does MercServices work/parts come with a guarantee

Our standard parts and labour guarantee is for 12 months. It can be more or less dependent on the warranty offered by our suppliers.

What diagnostic equipment do you have

We are frequently asked this question because people have taken their cars to other “specialists” who have counterfeit Mercedes-Benz Star diagnosis equipment and consequently cannot successfully repair the car. We are one of the few specialists in London who use a manufacturer authorised Star diagnosis computer that is updated by them daily.

How much does it cost to service my Mercedes

How long does your Diagnostic Testing take

A diagnostic check starts at £92.50 which will give an indication of the fault, but a more in depth investigation may be required. we will talk to you before we proceed with additional work.
